What is the Climb?

Going into its ninth year, the Climb for a Cause is an annual fundraiser where RSP supporters hike some impressive peaks in the United States to bring educational opportunities to children in rural Tanzania. Started in 2016 by John and Alicia Nicholson, the Climb is still led by the Nicholsons!

The Climb has raised over $189,496 since its inception! Peaks in the past have included Mt. Le Conte, TN (2023), Camel’s Hump, VT (2022), Mt. Hope, CO (2021), Mt. Pilchuk, CO (2020), Mt. Evans, CO (2019), Mt. Hood, OR (2018), Mt. Stuart, WA (2017), and Mt. Shuksan, WA (2016).

Where is Sunset Peak?

Sunset Peak is a 7.0-mile out-and-back trail near Mounthaven, Utah. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 4 hours to complete.

 

How can I participate?

Whether you can join us in person in picturesque Utah or want to take a hike or walk wherever you are on September 28, 2024.

Select your preferred option during registration, and we will get you set up with your very own fundraising page! Each climber has a personal fundraising goal of $750.

Take photos of yourself and your group on the day of and post to social media with #RSPClimb so we can see where you are!
