Red Sweater Project collaborates with developing communities to create affordable, accessible, and innovative educational opportunities. We partner with local stakeholders to address systemic challenges in education, operating the Mungere School and Beyond Academy near the town of Mto wa Mbu in northern Tanzania. We focus on empowering communities through affordable quality education and professional development, ensuring lasting impact.

Our long-term volunteer program is designed not only to address funding and resource gaps but also to provide meaningful support to our team of professional teachers. Your contributions as a volunteer will directly enhance the educational experience of our students while fostering professional growth among both local and international educators. Volunteers bring fresh perspectives and innovative teaching methodologies that complement and enrich local teaching practices, fostering a mutually beneficial exchange of knowledge and skills.

2025 English Immersion Program (EIP) English Teacher (PDF)

• Service Period: 8th September - 7th December 2025 (3 months)

2026 ESL English Teacher (PDF)

• Service Periods: 12th January - 5th June, 2026 (5 months)

  6th July - 4th December , 2026 (5 months)
