"Expressing heartfelt gratitude to Mungere Secondary School, Director Ashley Holmer, dedicated teachers, and generous sponsors who made my education possible. Thanks to their support, I proudly hold a Bachelor's degree in Banking and Finance from The Institute of Finance Management (IFM). I am Gideon Daudi Manyanga, now a banker, and this success is a testament to the foundation laid at Mungere.”

“Our Club, Lewis River Rotary of Battle Ground, Wa is a relatively small club. Without Covid and in a good year, we might make 40 members. Our one annual fundraiser, a Gala Auction, was virtual last year and minimally successful. So, while we always scrupulously vett our financial contribution recipients, this year we have reevaluated and used Rotary's Seven Areas of Focus to determine the best matches for our money.

All seven of these describe the Red Sweater Project's mission: basic education and literacy; maternal and child health; peace and conflict resolution; water, sanitation and hygiene; sustainability and supporting the environment; disease prevention; and economic and community development. To hear their story screams of these basic areas... providing secondary education to Tanzanian adolescents who would otherwise be married and having children, teaching basic life principles in addition to the 'three R's' that keep them healthy, safe, nourished (physically and mentally) and prepare them to contribute to the improvement of their personal lives and all of Tanzania.

Quite a package for the amount of money that we donate to sponsor students and help out with necessities. We have sponsored for 6 years and have promised to continue for many more. This is Rotary to the Core!!!”
